So Keswick To Barrow 2014 was damp to say the least! But the determination and spirit of those involved was not dampened - whether competing, organising, first aiding, or marshalling. John Pye and the Lakeland Radio team were there to see them off at Keswick, and to cheer them on at Coniston.
The Keswick to Barrow is a 40 mile sponsored walking and running event in the English Lake District. Teams of between 6 and 12 members test themselves on a challenging route, to raise money for charities and good causes.
The 23 mile Coniston to Barrow is a sponsored team walk, that takes place on the same day of the year as the Keswick to Barrow. The original concept of the C2B was to create an event for the benefit of younger walkers and those who found the rigour of the full K2B walk too demanding.
