Man Faces 'Inevitable' Jail Term For Child Porn Crimes

A former Windermere campsite manager is facing jail after admitting a string of child porn crimes.

Carlisle Crown Court heard illegal images downloaded by Timothy John Lovatt featured children aged as young as one month old.

The 57 year old - now of West End Road in Morecambe, was also said to have distributed thousands of indecent images to others over a period of several months in 2015 and 2016.

He pleaded guilty to six crimes today - three of which related to downloading indecent images of children.

Hundreds of those were classed as category A, the most serious.

He also admitted possessing extreme pornographic images, having a prohibited image of a child and distributing more than 5,500 indecent photographs of children.

The judge adjourned sentence until Monday next week and Lovatt was remanded in custody until then - being told jail is inevitable.
