Cartmel Residents Raise NSPCC Cash Through Christmas Lights Display

Cartmel residents who put on a huge lights display every Christmas are hoping to top last year's fundraising total of £5,330 for the NSPCC.

Jeremy and Mandy Voakes are among local people who put on the display at this time of year.

To date, they've raised more than £10,000 altogether. The lights are switched on every day from 4.30pm to 10pm.

Jeremy and Mandy said: "As you leave Flookburgh Square, head to Cark - towards Ulverston, pass the Engine Inn and go over the bridge. Then turn right as if heading to Cartmel, up the hill, past the first cul-de-sac on the right then turn right just as you are leaving Cark. Then go over a little bridge, round a corner and you cant miss them!

"The postcode is LA11 7NL. Many thanks and Merry Christmas!"
